Welcome to Enhanced Street Performance, Inc.

Enhanced Street Performance, Inc. offers full tuning services for both carbureted and fuel injected vehicles. ESP has the knowledge and experience to tune your vehicle for optimum power and drivablilty while maintaining the necessary safety margins to ensure your vehicle lives a long and happy life. Stand-alone systems including Holley EFI, Megasquirt, and AEM, as well as carburetor tuning are tuned by our in-house. Factory PCM reflashing is performed by our network of professional tuners.  Over the years, we have sought out and built relationships with the very best tuners from across the country. ESP is proud to offer these tuning services to our customers on a local level. The experience and knowledge these specialists have gained over the years tuning hundreds and thousands of their particular vehicle, ensures the very best tune for your vehicle. Our technical experience ensures the tuning process goes smoothly, as we are there to sort out mechanical problems should they arise.

Our Story

Enhanced Street Performance, established in 2002, offers all aspects of a full performance automotive shop including upgrades, repairs, and general maintenance.  When we started, our goals were simple.  We aimed to do what we love and do it with more integrity and skill than anyone else.  That’s what we’re still doing today. Greg and I are both true car enthusiasts.  For us, it’s always been all about how to fix them and make them better. There is great satisfaction in adding horsepower, fine tuning for optimal power and safety, and improving handling and braking.  It’s equally rewarding to see the reactions of our customers after making these improvements.  While some shops seem to be in the business for the showboating, for us it’s about the cars and customers.  Our goal is to build bragging rights for our customers, not for our shop.  As a shop, we don’t aim to be flashy or glitzy; we just aim to do it right.

Our 20+ year success is built on honestly and integrity.  We encourage “smart” modifications that allow customers to get the most “bang for their buck.”  We take the time to talk about what the customer wants and work within various budgets to meet these goals.  We always weigh cost vs. results.  If an expensive part or tune is going to net minimal gains, we will be the first to say it’s not worth it.  We’re here to help you reach your goals and determine where your money is best spent. Of course, determining what’s best for customers and their vehicles requires extensive knowledge.  This starts at the top.  After finishing my degree in mechanical engineering, I developed fuel systems for Walbro Automotive, and then moved on work as a Project Manager before opening ESP.

This combination gave me valuable technical and operations knowledge.  Greg’s career as an automotive technician has included work at both independent repair shop and dealerships.  He has completed ASE certifications in wide range of areas.  Aside from being an exceptional mechanic, Greg has excellent mathematic and problem-solving abilities.  He has an unparalleled understanding of how things work.  He excels at intricate repairs and upgrades (e.g. replacing rear end gears, engine work, manual transmission work, and alignments). Combined, Greg and I bring years of unique experience and skilled expertise to our business.   Greg and I have built a team based on two critical elements.  First, our technicians are skilled in a wide range of vehicles from domestic to import, from old to new.  We are able to offer our services to customers regardless of what type of vehicle they are currently driving or may drive in the future. 

As our customers sell one toy and move on to another, we are able to continue to provide our services.   Additionally, customers appreciate that they can bring us the other cars in their driveway as well.  It’s important to us to be able to provide this service to our customers and their families.  The second characteristic of the team at ESP is our ability to work through any problem.  That’s what we do best.  While anyone can bolt on parts out of a box, we have the ability to handle tough diagnostics and complications that can arise with modifying vehicles.  Problem-solving, getting creative, and working through tough situations is what we do every day.  It’s what we do better than anyone else. Any time I have ever had a vehicle here, I always can sleep well at night because they are simply, the most honest, professional, and efficient guys around. They do amazing work and have a very immense skill set. Hopefully I don't have to see them soon, but if I do, I'll know the work being done is going to be done right the first time, and I can drive away without any worries. I recently brought my 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT to ESP for a timing belt and water pump service, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the exceptional care and expertise provided by Dave and Greg. From start to finish, they handled the job with absolute professionalism and confidence. Not only did they perform the requested service flawlessly, but they also went above and beyond; replacing missing plastic clips in the wheel well area and diagnosing and repairing a non-functioning oil pressure sensor that had been inactive for nine years. Thanks to their thorough work, I now have a fully functioning oil pressure reading again! They also identified and repaired a cam seal leak that could have led to larger issues down the line. What truly stood out was Greg’s attention to detail ; he compiled a comprehensive list of future maintenance items, shared without pressure or sales tactics, simply as helpful information. Many of the items were on my radar, but he also spotted a few I had overlooked. When you bring your vehicle to ESP, especially an older or custom import, you can trust that it will be treated with care, professionalism, and deep automotive knowledge. Just be prepared to give the process the patience it deserves as good work takes time, and these guys deliver excellence.

I was at ESP for a dyno session 2 days ago to dial in my Holley Sniper. In keeping with all my experiences with Dave, the price was more than fair, the work exceptional, and he went above and beyond what anyone else has ever done. He explained what he was doing, why he was doing it, and how. He took the jagged and rough tables the Sniper wizard had created and smoothed everything out. He made incremental, safe changes, then did a pull after each change and compared the dyno graphs. The result was more torque and horsepower. MUCH more area under the curves. I can't wrap my head around what Chris the MD is claiming because that does not align with any of my experiences with Dave over the last 5 years via phone, emails or in person. As long as ESP is around, I will always call Dave.
